Maylis Queyrat, a contemporary artist born at the dawn of the 70’s, dedicates herself to 21st century Decorative Arts. Her encounter with Charles Tassin, an interior designer, paved the way to an editorial project that eschewed today’s Minimalism for a neo-posh style. Rediscovering – and not copying – the opulence, thoughtlessness and lightness of the 70’s, they share a taste for chic exuberance, refined luxury, and a keen sense of relaxed and glamorous elegance.
Galerie MAY produces exceptional furniture, designed in the best tradition of French craftsmanship, restoring past crafts such as marquetry, lacquer and ceramics with a decidedly contemporary flourish. Each decor is unique, leading the May Gallery towards tailored interior design projects to which emerging artists also contribute.
